Mativ in Pittsfield, MA is looking for aManufacturing Intern to join our team this summer. This internship is a great opportunity to get exposure to different manufacturing processes.We are looking for a curious and driven intern with a basic understanding of process engineering principles.

responsibilities
In this position, the intern will report to the Manufacturing Manager and have an opportunity to be a part of the Filtration and Advanced Materials segment. Key responsibilities in this role include:
- Create presentations to be used for the continuous improvement of the manufacturing processes related to non-woven, wet-laid paper making and saturation.
- Compile and display data to support recommendations for improvement.
- Estimate cost savings related to recommendations.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes and enhance the manufacturing process.
qualifications
Required:
- Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Paper Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related major.
- Minimum GPA-3.0.
- Intermediate MS Excel skills with willingness to learn.
- Strong skills with PowerPoint and other MS Suite products.
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
- Ideal candidates will possess high initiative and drive, with a curiosity to perpetually learn and improve our business.
- Key requirements include the ability to analyze information to find opportunities, effectively communicate, and work collaboratively in a team setting.
