Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Assists the Plant Operations Leader in the development and formulation of long and short-range planning, policies, programs, and objectives affecting their assigned area
- Provides leadership, support, and guidance to employees and ensures the goals and objectives of the organization are met
- Communicates the status of production performance, projects, and initiatives across the business
- Achieves optimum team performance impacting safety, quality, delivery, cost, and development
- Takes initiative to improve the manufacturing facility and establishes procedures for maintaining high operation standards, ensuring products conform to established customer and company quality regulations and guidelines
- Implements manufacturing policies and programs that guide the organization to improve its competitive position and profitability in the market
- Oversees the performance of production employees
- Partners closely with other department leaders (Human Resources, Finance, Engineering, etc.) to drive effective plant operations
- Initiates and coordinates major projects, (e.g., plant layout changes, installation of capital equipment, major repairs, etc.)
- Stays current on technology and leading manufacturing practices
- Performs additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Education & Skillsets:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 5 years of leadership/supervisory experience or sufficient and relevant work experience
Preferred Education & Skillsets:
- 4 years' experience in the plastic or chemical industry
- 3 years of leadership/supervisory experience of medium to large teams
- Knowledge of Six Sigma/Lean training
- Leadership experience within manufacturing facilities
- Relevant master's degree or equivalent work experience

The annual salary range for this position is $115,000 - $125,000. This role is also short-term incentive plan eligible.
