responsibilities:
- Analyze plan and develop production schedule based on customer orders, forecasted demands, capacity constraints, and agreed-upon stock inventory levels to maximize throughput.
- Work with the Production, Customer Service, and Supply Chain Teams to develop production schedules. Monitor capacity requirements on processed products. Update the schedule as needed and distribute it to appropriate parties.
- Work closely with the Production and Supply Chain Managers to make sound business decisions that positively affect our ability to meet our customers' needs while satisfying inventory, cost, and delivery requirements.
- Track the progress of customer orders and production jobs. Advise of anticipated problems that might delay an order or job and, if possible, provide options with necessary follow-up.
- Analyze delays and interruptions and adjust the production schedule to meet deadlines accordingly.
- Plan and follow up materials and products in/outbound, including sterilization shipments.
- Support purchasing in coordinating delivery to expedite supplier purchase orders of materials to meet production schedule.
- Plan inventory management processes to avoid shortages and excesses and ensure stock accuracy. Support cycle count schedule and year-end inventory activities.
- Maintain data integrity within SAP system to provide timely and accurate information.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Manager.
qualifications:
Required
- Associate/Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a similar field or 3 years' experience developing and planning production schedules in a related industry
- Able to speak, write, and read English. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
- Effective planning and analytical skills
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to interact well with internal and external customers as well as vendors
- Excellent communication skills
- Material management experience
- Ability to act quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with good organizational and time-management skills. Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Ability to take ownership
- Self-motivated to work effectively in a team
- Experience in SAP Software
- Advanced PC skills, including statistical software
- Experience with inventory management control
Preferred
- Experience in SAP Software
- Proficient in using a variety of intermediate Excel functions
