Job Summary:
Matlack Florist is seeking a talented and experienced Wedding and Event Consultant to work with our clients and create stunning floral designs for weddings and other special events. As a Wedding and Event Consultant, you will work closely with clients to understand their vision, produce proposals, and coordinate all aspects of the design process. You will have knowledge of flowers, design, and trends in the wedding industry, as well as strong sales and relationship-building skills.
Responsibilities:
· Meet with clients to understand their vision and requirements for their wedding or special event.
· Produce detailed proposals and quotes for floral arrangements, including bouquets, centerpieces, and other decor.
· Coordinate all aspects of the design process, including ordering flowers and materials, creating designs, and delivering and setting up arrangements on the day of the event.
· Develop and maintain relationships with clients, wedding planners, and other vendors in the wedding industry.
· Attend industry events, such as bridal shows and networking events, to promote Matlack Florist and build relationships with potential clients.
· Meet and exceed sales goals by effectively communicating the value of Matlack Florist's services and creating exceptional experiences for clients.
· Stay up-to-date with industry trends and new design techniques, and incorporate them into your proposals and designs.
· Work collaboratively with the design team to ensure that all arrangements are completed to the highest standards of quality and style.
· Help to maintain the wedding spaces, ensuring they are clean, organized, and stocked with the latest products and materials.
Requirements:
· At least 3 years of experience as a wedding consultant or in a sales role in the wedding industry, with a strong track record of success.
· Extensive knowledge of flowers, design, and trends in the wedding industry, as well as the ability to create unique and beautiful designs.
· Strong sales and relationship-building skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and build lasting relationships.
· Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
· Creativity and a good eye for design, with the ability to understand and interpret clients' vision and requirements.
· Ability to work collaboratively with other team members, including designers, sales staff, and delivery personnel.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software programs (Honeybook, Details Flowers, Google suite).
· A degree or course work in floral design or a related field is preferred, but not required.
· Must be able to work occasional weekends and or evening hours as necessary to accommodate client and event schedules.

Pay: Up to $25.00 per hour
