Database Architect

Location: Onsite 3 days a wk; Hybrid – Office location is Jersey City NJ

Required Pay Scale: $65-70hr W2

***Due to client requirements this role is only open to USC or GC candidates***

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for core design, building the various support framework, identifying the tools for development, sample codes, modifying and/or maintaining different platforms supporting innovative solutions.

• Participates in design, development review and implementation of architectural deliverables, to include components of the assessment and optimization of system design and review of user requirements

• Work closely with business partners in defining requirements for system applications, analyze technical feasibility

• Plan, design, deploy, scale and operationalize innovative solutions

• Functionally support the team of developers located on and off shore and collaborate with other technology teams for architecture related deliverables

• Work closely with the Business Stakeholders, Management Team, Development Teams, Infrastructure Management and support partners

• Define the architecture for integration with various related infrastructure for storage, load balancer, event processing etc

• Design and implement a robust security, data protection and access control framework required for these innovative solutions

• Support additional architecture work across horizontal LOBs

• Ensure all necessary operational processes and procedures are carried out with a high level of attention to detail, expediency and on- time delivery

Requirements:

• Strong analytic skills related to working with both structured and unstructured datasets.

• Experience building and optimizing data pipelines, architectures and data sets

• Strong SQL (MS SQL Server) knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with database

• Data Modeling PowerDesigner or Erwin

• Metadata (Collibra)

• Strong communication skills both written and verbal; ability to communicate at all levels; able to influence/challenge and negotiate with minimum direct supervision

• Knowledge of and adherence to agile and change standard

• Experience in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle Agile methodologies
