Job Title: Microsoft Windows IIS Engineer Consultant
Duration: 12 months
Location: Pennington, NJ (Hybrid remote 3 days onsite)
Required Pay Scale: $64-$66 (Cannot subcontract or C2C)
As a member of our client's Windows DevOps team you will be responsible for IIS Engineering and Administration, Environments Management, Deployment & Support for Lower Level test Environment, keeping the environment in pristine CI/CD condition and as production-like as possible. Day to day activities include, but not limited to the following:
- Defect triage of issues in the application testing environments.
- Deployment of code and/or retrofit of production code.
- Communicating to our internal clients and vendors.
- Consulting on design of infrastructure.
- Rebuilding servers.
- Working side by side with testers and developers to ensure all are working cohesively.
- System patching.
- Technical documentation.
- Working with software vendors to get bugs and issues resolved.
Required Skills
- 5 year experience in Windows 2012, 2016 and 2019, and IIS Web Server supporting .NET hosted applications.
- Candidate should have expertise in analyzing IIS logs and the ability to troubleshoot .NET based web application integration issues in Windows environment.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, WINS, Firewall, Local and Global application load balancing.
- Candidate should have expertise in analyzing IIS logs and identify potential issues and fixes.
- Candidate should have experience with deployment tools including Ansible Tower, Jenkins, Digital.ai XL Release, etc.
Desired Skills
- Candidates with hands on experience with F5 devices like Global Traffic Manager and Local Traffic Manager are preferred.
- Any PowerShell scripting knowledge is an added advantage.
- Expertise on WebSphere on UNIX is a plus.
- Any experience migrating applications from older .NET versions and IIS to a latest versions is a good to have.
- Experience with tools like Autosys, Wireshark, WinSCP, OpenSSH & content replication tools like Carbonite or similar is an added advantage.
