Job Title: OpenShift Engineer
Duration: 18 Month W2 Contract
Location: Jacksonville, FL
Required Pay Scale:$701-80/hour
MUST BE ONSITE 5 DAYS A WEEK
Job Summary:
Modernizing Container Platform
Configure and operate a dedicated OpenShift container platform for SSO applications, including PingFederate, PingAccess, and PingDirectory.
Sr. Engineering level guidance, oversight, and direction on implementation and operational practices in the OpenShift environment
Container Engineer geared towards Openshift only; if they have Kubernetes and Docker, that is fine too; must have expertise in Openshift Container Platform
Need someone who can help manage the Openshift environment as more applications are onboarded to the Openshift platform
Must be able to provide end to end one click deployments- ability to complete an entire task from start to finish with one click through automation expertise- open to various scripting/programming for automation
Not looking for a build engineer type, but more of an operational person who can get the applications on boarded to the platform and pull applications off as needed
They will need experience personally building pipelines
Strong CICD skills with the following tools: Artifactory, JFROG, Aqua (a Cloud Native Application Protection Platform (CNAPP)), XLR, Jenkins, Ansible, but biggest need here is Openshift expertiseStrong experience with JFROG/Artifactory is a must

Key Responsibilities:
Configure and operate dedicated OpenShift container platform for SSO applications, including PingFederate, PingAccess, and PingDirectory.
Sr. Engineering level guidance, oversight, and direction on implementation and operational practices in the OpenShift environment
Ability to work independently on initiatives with little oversight as you will be called on to exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for resolving issues.
Ability to work with other team members in an efficient and cooperative manner.
Strong analytical skills/problem solving/conceptual thinking; out-of-the-box thinkers.
Ability to identify, analyze, and address problems to resolve issues in a way that minimizes negative impact and risk to the organization as you will be viewed as a technology subject matter expert.
Effective communication skills and motivation/willingness to learn.
Document and communicate required information for deployment, maintenance, support, and business functionality.
Adhere to team delivery/release process and cadence pertaining to solution deployment and release.
Required Job Skills
Implement Cloud Container Re-platform and Refactor Modernization Architecture Technology
Provide technical definition in containerization of applications leveraging OpenShift and Kubernetes
Apply technical, functional knowledge to convert application code into container through modular design.
Promotes innovation across the solution and delivery phases by leading the design thinking workshops leveraging Agile methodologies and DevSecOps, including continuous integration, continuous testing, and continuous delivery.
Building containerized applications that will work on the RedHat OpenShift platform.
Practical knowledge of the implementation of monitoring for containerized applications
Ability to move existing applications to the OpenShift platform.
Work with multiple technology teams within the Banks Global Technology to understand and aid in the delivery of requirements and when issue arise, triage the underlying cause.
Proficient in Linux and web hosting/service technologies such as Apache, IIS, WebSphere, WebLogic.
Ability to utilize various programming or scripting languages such as Unix shell scripting, or Perl, or Python, or JavaScript, or PowerShell.
Extremely proficient in using Ansible/GIT/Artifactory/Jenkins/XLR/YAML
Knowledge on legacy modernization code refactoring.
Knowledge on application code conversion (Engineering to Cloud - Micro services, API)
SME on building microservices, APIs, convert workloads into RedHat OpenShift Container Platform from legacy application code base.
Desired Job Skills
Knowledge and experience with Authentication and Authorization systems/infrastructure and related implementation techniques in WebSSO is a key component to this role.
