Key Responsibilities:
- Provide database administration support for PostgreSQL in a high-availability (HA) clustered environment.
- Perform daily operational tasks, including monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of PostgreSQL databases.
- Manage PostgreSQL upgrades, patches, and performance tuning.
- Support Ansible Tower, ensuring smooth database operations and resolving issues as they arise.
- Work with Oracle databases as needed, providing backend database support.
- Implement and maintain HA clustering solutions to ensure database reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with Linux administrators to optimize database performance in a Linux environment.
- Strong PostgreSQL DBA experience with hands-on expertise in administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
- Experience managing high-availability (HA) clustered environments.
- Proven PostgreSQL upgrade experience in enterprise environments.
- Solid understanding of Linux systems; prior Linux administration experience is a plus.
- Experience supporting applications with PostgreSQL backends, such as Ansible Tower and Artifactory.
- Knowledge of Oracle databases and backend database management.
