Job Title : Sr. Java Full Stack Developer (AWS) Location : Pasadena, CA Hybrid : 3 Days Onsite Compensation : Up To $80 / Hour W2 Up To $90 / Hour C2C About the Role This role is within the Tax Organization, which works horizontally across multiple business units, including payroll engines and tax systems. You will focus on hands-on coding (100% hands-to-keyboard), actively contributing to the modernization and decoupling of legacy platforms by redesigning and developing key modules using modern technologies. This modernization effort is aimed at creating a more scalable, efficient, and up-to-date platform to handle tax rules and tax processing for 7000 jurisdictions, including federal, state, and local organizations. You will collaborate with experts in the Tax POV (Point of View) team, including stakeholders, to ensure alignment with business goals and modernization initiatives. Key Responsibilities Solution Design and Development : Participate in the solutioning and design of modules while primarily focusing on writing robust, scalable, and efficient code. Modernization Efforts : Decouple legacy systems and modernize modules to enhance functionality and scalability. Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with teams across multiple business units to meet project requirements and deliverables. Technology Implementation : Build backend systems using Java and Spring Boot, and frontend systems using Angular, deploying solutions to AWS. Tax Systems Expertise : Contribute to the modernization of core tax rules and processing modules. Required Skills and Qualifications Experience : Minimum of 6 years of professional development experience. Backend Development : Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot. Frontend Development : Proficient in Angular for building responsive and dynamic user interfaces. Cloud Expertise : Hands-on experience with AWS, including deployment and integration. Modernization Projects : Experience in decoupling and modernizing legacy systems is highly desirable. Team Collaboration : Ability to work across multiple business units and align technical solutions with organizational goals. Tax Domain (Preferred) : Familiarity with tax processing systems and frameworks is a plus.
