Job Opening: Counter Sales Representative

Matlock’s Used Parts is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, organized, and innovative individual to join our team as a Counter Sales Representative. In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering exceptional customer service and promoting our high-quality used parts inventory. This position provides an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, assisting customers with their automotive parts requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Greet customers professionally and courteously at the counter.
• Determine if the customer has a previous order for the part, confirm payment, and load the customer’s part.
• Assist customers in identifying and selecting the appropriate automotive parts from our extensive inventory. This will necessitate rigorous training for a month.
• Effectively promote products and services to meet customer needs through sales management.
• Maintain a clean and organized counter area to enhance the customer experience.
• Use phone etiquette skills to handle customer inquiries and process orders efficiently.
• Meet expectations for handling a specific number of in-house customers or calls per day.
• Problem-solve and handle warranty claims and returns.
• After six months of rigorous training, maintain an average of $55,000 in sales per month. Raises will be available if you consistently maintain sales over $60,000 per month. If your sales consistently exceed $100,000 per month, you will be given the option for an office area or to work remotely.

Skills:

• Quick typing skills.
• Basic math skills for processing transactions and calculating prices.
• Knowledge of automotive repair parts is advantageous.
• Ability to maintain a professional demeanor while assisting customers.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency in using computer systems for order processing and inventory management.
• Willingness to learn how to operate a forklift to load customers.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be independent. This is a new location and most training will be virtual
