Delivery Drivers Wanted
Do you have a passion for driving and delivering exceptional service? Matlock’s Used Cars & Parts is looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Delivery Drivers! Here’s what you need to know:
Hours:
- Monday-Friday, 6:30-7:30 AM until the route is finished
- Work 3-5 days a week with some schedule flexibility available. Each week everyone is asked about doctors appointments etc. We are looking for someone who can commit to working on Fridays.
Job Duties/Requirements:
- Valid Driver's License: Ensure you have a current and valid license.
- Clean Driving Record: Safety first! A clean driving record is a must.
- Deliver Parts: Drive our company truck to deliver parts to our valued customers.
- Collect Payments: Handle and collect payments for parts delivered.
- Document Deliveries: Use our routing system to document the details of each delivery.
- Tech-Savvy: General knowledge of smartphones/tablets is preferred.
- Physical Requirement: Ability to lift at least 125 pounds.
- Box Trucks: Our parts are delivered in box trucks that have between 12 and 26 foot boxes, with 16 feet being the average size.
- No CDL Required: You do not need to have your Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Delivery Routes: Our routes cover a wide range of locations in NC and SC, including Raleigh, Charlotte, Asheville, Boone, and Mt Airy in NC. We also deliver past Greenville, SC almost every day.
- Types of Parts: We mainly deliver heavy sheet metal parts such as doors, engines, and transmissions.
- Safety First: If you like to text and drive, this job is not for you.
- All Ages Welcome: A lot of our drivers are retired individuals looking for something to do. We employ people of all ages, but you must be 21 to be able to go on our insurance and drive a truck.

- Are you alright with handling parts that are a bit dirty? Our drivers pick up core charges which are dirty.
- What days of the week Monday through Friday are you available to work from 6:30/7:30 AM until the route is finished?
- Do you understand that this is a part time job and hours will vary depending on our sales for the week, number of driver's available, and the time of the year it is.
- Are you 21 or over? If not we may be hiring for a warehouse position or have a spot for you there.
