The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for supporting the production team at Matric Limited in developing and implementing efficient manufacturing processes for electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies. This includes managing and developing manufacturing processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring compliance with quality standards and procedures.
Main Tasks
- Work closely with assemblers, supervisors, and engineers to achieve successful production and testing of assemblies.
- Optimize manufacturing processes to ensure efficient and safe assembly operations.
- Participate in the Request for Quotation (RFQ) process to estimate labor times and identify necessary equipment or tooling.
- Design and develop assembly jigs and fixtures to improve productivity and reduce waste.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend suitable manufacturing equipment.
- Assess new products for manufacturability and implement changes as required.
- Develop optimal manufacturing layouts for safe and efficient production.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure product conformity to specifications.
- Promote a safe and healthy working environment.
Requirements
- Relevant Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
- Strong computer skills.
