What you need to be successful in this role :
Work with assemblers, supervisors, and engineers to ensure successful production and testing of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies. Production areas include surface mount and through hole PCB assembly, cable assembly, and box build assembly.
Ensure assemblies are manufactured in an efficient and safe manner in accordance with product specifications and quality system requirements.
Support the Quoting process by estimating labor times and identifying equipment or tooling needs.
Research, specify and select manufacturing equipment. Develop assembly jigs and fixtures.
Ensure / improve manufacturability of new and existing products. Review new products for release to production and implement Engineering Changes.
Recommend manufacturing layouts for safe and efficient production.
Interpret and ensure compliance with appropriate industry and quality standards / procedures.
Encourage and maintain a safe and productive working environment.
BS degree in an engineering field, or equivalent relevant education and experience.
Proficiency in using computers.
