Job Purpose
A Manager will support Matric by understanding customer needs and their respective job duties. They will work to increase customer engagement by providing support to current and prospective customers by demonstrating dedication to quality, quantity, and safety. Managers will perform a variety of duties to meet the day-to-day operational goals and develop their team.
Managers must have good technical knowledge in their respective areas of expertise. They will serve as subject matter experts to their department and the company.
Duties and Responsibilities
- All associates have a personal responsibility and accountability to ensure their day-to-day activities adhere to Matric's quality and environmental policies.
- Execute improvement plans and meet goals and objectives for their respective department.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve common organizational goals.
- Participate in continuing education through the learning management system, supervisory and manager lunch and learns and outside education opportunities.
- Be proactive in problem solving and conflict management.
- Increases department effectiveness by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training team members.
- Design and implement policy and procedures to ensure compliance and improve profitability.
- Design work schedules and organize employee training and development.
- Maintain detailed documentation on special projects and human resources related topics.
- Interpret and implement special processes, policies and procedures as needed for compliance with federal, state, local and other regulatory agencies.
- Ensure their department provides good customer service to internal and external customers, vendors, and associates.
- Maintains quality service by implementing and enforcing company standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's in their respective field or equivalent education and experience.
- At least 1-5 years of experience as a supervisor or manager.
- Certifications in their respective fields preferred.
- Must be computer literate, including the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Power point) and email.
- Previous management experience with demonstrated results.
- Project, time, and conflict management skills.
- Be self-motivated.
- Demonstrated experience in be proactive in resolving problems and mentoring others.
- The ability to work independently and with others to achieve business results.
- Above average verbal and written communication skills are required.
Working conditions (if applicable)
- Typically indoor office environment with some time on the production floor as required.
- Sitting or standing for extended periods of time.
Physical requirements (if applicable)
- Must be able to spend considerable time (20 to 30 hours / week) using a personal computer.
- Occasional travel to customers, suppliers, seminars, recruiting events and trade shows is required.
