JOB SUMMARY:
The Canvasser position is responsible for generating leads needed for our sales staff in the most cost-effective means possible.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Develop and foster ongoing positive working relationships with customers
- Lead, assist, and motivate employees to meet and exceed sales goals
- Maintain professional interaction with both customers and fellow employees
- Meet or exceed personal sales goals on a monthly basis
- Responsible for submitting all paperwork completely and accurately
- Responsible for accurately tracking and communicating all activity with leads
- Ensure work station/kiosk is clean, well-organized, functional and presentable at all times
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Canvass: Outside, neighborhoods
WORK HOURS:
- Hours vary based on department and season. Night and weekends are required for marketing associates
COMPENSATION:
- Marketing compensation is designed to reward and compensate marketing associates who strive to their best every day. A sustained effort and a disciplined approach will lead to consistent results and a very rewarding compensation plan. We establish benchmarks and goals that have been realistic and attainable throughout our history as a result of the best training in the industry.
DEFINITIONS:
- Lead: An estimate/appointment
- Demo: An appointment that is confirmed and fielded by a sales representative
BENCHMARKS:
- Benchmarks are put in place to ensure satisfactory results. As a Marketing Associate, it is your duty to try to set every lead within 72 hours. Marketing Associates must maintain and achieve one demo for every 10 hours worked to receive any bonus and commissions. Failure to meet this benchmark can result in disciplinary action up to and including termination.
BONUS PAY:
There are different bonus structures for Full-Time and Part-Time employees. Full-Time is defined as 30 hours or more per pay period.

- Deliver excellent customer service
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Exceptional negotiation skills and outstanding follow thru and execution
- Ability to meet deadlines and benchmarks
- Ability to thrive in a team environment
- Able to work a flexible schedule including varied shifts that may include evenings and weekends
- Experience in Face to Face Marketing is a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Retail/Events: Able to stand for extended periods of time
- Canvass: Must be able to walk for long periods of time
