Job Description: As a Medical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our pediatricians and ensuring a positive experience for our patients and their families. Your responsibilities will include clinical and administrative tasks aimed at providing comprehensive care to patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures
- Take and record vital signs, height, weight, and medical histories
- Assist pediatricians during examinations and treatments
- Administer vaccinations and medications as directed by the pediatrician
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow
- Provide patient education and support to families
- Ensure exam rooms and equipment are clean, stocked, and ready for use
- Assist with administrative tasks such as answering phones and managing patient inquiries
Qualifications:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred
- Previous experience in a pediatric or family practice setting
- Strong knowledge of pediatric healthcare and immunization schedules
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well with children and families
- Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred
