Position Summary:
The Construction Logistics Coordinator is a senior-level administrative position which directly supports the Director of Construction with the initiating, planning, executing, monitor and control and project closing for all projects within their market. This individual will assist in financial reconciliation for projects within their markets as required.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Supports and works with market specific Director of Construction to ensure all Inputs, Tools & Techniques and Outputs are completed during planning phase for all projects assigned within market to include the following:
- Scope definition and management.
- Assists with defining project activities.
- Assists with developing project schedule.
- Cost management and setting the project budget.
- Resource management and activity.
- Change order and procurement management.
- Internal and external stakeholder communications expectations.
- Supports procurement team with warehouse and inventory control to include receiving and inventorying of project specific materials and reporting back any exceptions for the market they are assigned to.
- Responsible for procurement, both labor and materials, for assigned projects within the market they are responsible for.
- Assists with market specific project closeouts and financial review of assigned projects.
- Ensures that at project initiation that all new project pre-construction work product is created utilizing established company policies and procedures required for new project planning and start-up.
- Assists with all change management and stakeholder engagement and communications regarding project specific changes that will impact construction duration and / or project budgets based on information received from responsible parties for those projects within market.
- Works directly with Director of Construction, Procurement Manager and Account Manager to ensure that project quality standards are defined, understood, and are communicated to all project stakeholders.
- Works directly with Director of Construction in developing effective communications and mechanisms for resolving conflicts and issue resolution.
- Assists Director of Construction with ongoing monitor and control of all projects within market to include the following:
- Monitor project work via schedule updates.
- Monitor scope to ensure there is no scope creep.
- Monitor quality via acceptance forms and punch walk forms from projects.
- Monitor project procurement, both labor and materials.
- Works directly with Director of Construction and procurement team for jobsite and warehouse inventories while ensuring just in time ordering and verifying, we are not exceeding inventory levels on jobsites or in warehouse.
- Ensure all procured project materials and sundries are properly stored, inventoried, organized and secured to prevent loss.
- Works with Procurement Manager to ensure all material returns are done in a timely manner and credits are received and applied pursuant to company published policy and procedures.
- Creates purchase orders, subcontractor agreements and order material from various suppliers per project schedules as required.
- Assist in reviewing and approving invoices related to their specific market and projects.
- Assist in processing disputed invoices identified in the invoice approval process to identify issues and take through to resolution.
- Participates in weekly planning meetings for staffing and material ordering and sequencing.
- Reviews daily reports from the field to identify course of completion progress, PO assignment and material issues or delays that could impact schedules.
- Maintain and update schedule of values work products as assigned and identified.
- Support and assist Director of Construction with change management to include change order creation and submission to clients as directed.
- Assists with office tasks and general operational responsibilities to ensure the office runs smoothly and with no disruptions to day to day business.
- Performs other duties as necessary or assigned.
Requirements
Required Job-Related Specifications:

- Strong customer service skills.
- Fluency with conversational Spanish is preferred.
· Demonstrated good judgment and decision-making ability.
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
· Ability to follow instructions from supervisor.
· Must be able to work independently with little supervision while achieving goals and objectives set forth by supervisor.
· Must demonstrate good critical path thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Education, Experience and Certifications:
· College degree is preferred.
· At least five (5) years relevant experience in the Construction/Multi-Family industry is preferred.
· Sage experience preferred.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office suite with strong emphasis on Microsoft Excel.
· Working knowledge of SharePoint.
· Valid Driver’s License and an acceptable driving record is required.
Physical & Other Requirements:
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer, up to 75% of the time.
· Must be able to lift to 50 pounds.
· While performing the duties of this job the employee may be required to walk, climb stairs, and climb ladders regularly. Additionally, employee will have to use hands and arms to reach, handle and feel, as well as to hear and speak while performing the duties of this position.

Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
