Payroll Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Specialist to manage and process payroll operations efficiently and accurately. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and compliant payroll processing, maintaining payroll records, and addressing employee inquiries related to compensation. This role requires a strong understanding of payroll regulations, tax laws, and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process payroll for employees accurately and on schedule.
• Maintain and update payroll records, including wages, deductions, and benefits.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.
• Handle payroll discrepancies, resolve employee inquiries, and address payroll-related issues.
• Prepare and submit payroll reports to management and relevant authorities.
• Coordinate with HR and finance teams to ensure accurate employee data.
• Process new hires, terminations, and changes in compensation.
• Assist with audits, reconciliations, and tax filings.
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure the security of payroll data.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field (preferred).
• Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist, Payroll Administrator, or similar role.
• Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paycom, Workday, QuickBooks).
• Strong understanding of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with employees and management.

Preferred Skills:

• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) is a plus.
• Experience with multi-state payroll processing.
• Knowledge of benefits administration and timekeeping systems.
