Matrix Tool, Inc. is a custom full-service manufacturing operation located in Fairview, PA. We specialize in the design and construction of high precision plastic injection molds and the molding of tight tolerance plastic injection molded components. The primary markets we serve include the computer / electronic device industry, the automotive industry, the general application / consumer products market and the medical / pharmaceutical device industry. We are adding to our staff and have an opening for a visual Quality Inspector. The position will support the production of precision plastic injection molded components in our modern, climate controlled injection molding environment. Primary responsibilities will entail completing in-process visual and basic dimensional inspection of molded plastic parts to ensure parts meet product drawing specifications. Additional duties will include, but are not limited to: (a) assisting with start-up inspection tasks to approve components prior to mass production; (b) assisting with the completion of ongoing visual and dimensional inspections to verify production is running to established specifications; (c) completing final inspection of parts prior to shipment; (d) assisting with the collection and input of quality data; and (e) providing back-up press operator support as needed.
Qualified candidates should have basic math and blue print / part print reading skills, familiarity with inspection equipment commonly used in a Quality lab (e.g., micrometers, calipers, microscopes, etc.); knowledge of basic inspection methods / terminology and procedures; ability to use a personal computer and common software applications such as Excel and Word; and a strong independent work ethic and attendance history. Previous inspection experience in a manufacturing or molding environment is a plus, but is not necessary as on-the-job training will be provided.
The position is a full-time, benefits eligible job. The position will interface with production staff members and management team members.
