We are seeking to fill immediate full time Press / Utility Operator positions on 3rd shift in our Plastics Division. Scheduled work hours are Monday through Friday, 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM (3rd shift). The role would potentially lead to becoming a Molding Technician trainee in the future. Overtime hours are often available.
Primary Duties: a) Tending to injection molding machines to support requirements and monitor production from assigned presses as scheduled; b) Monitoring resin raw material levels at all active molding presses to ensure adequate material supplies are available to support continuous production; c) Coordinating the grinding of runners / scrap materials generated by each molding press; d) Coordinating the cleaning of Plastics support equipment, including granulators, hoppers, and plastic loaders to make sure material is not contaminated; e) Assisting with packaging, final inspection and finished goods staging activities on assigned shift; (f) Assisting with molding support operations, including break support and rework support, on an as needed basis based on work order specifications and supervisory instructions; and g) Communicating production related issues, such as material issues, product defects and equipment problems, on a regular basis to Material Mixing and / or supervisory personnel.
