Description
TYPICAL DUTIES :
- Provide mail service for assigned location. Includes making mail pick-ups and deliveries, sorting, weighing, posting outgoing mail and packages and distributing interoffice mail.
- Perform word processing functions as well as the typing of checks and reports.
- Establish and maintain files as directed by supervisor for payroll, accounts payable and general accounting documents.
- Prepare documents for hiring or terminating employees; verify accuracy of foreman's reports and other data required for processing payroll.
- Maintain records on equipment rental, assist with invoice preparation invoice distribution and bank reconciliation.
- Operate typical office machines (fax machine, copier, computer, printer).
- Prepare various daily, weekly, monthly, annual and job-to-date reports.
- Run miscellaneous errands.
- Identify safety hazards you or other employees may be subject to and take all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize hazards.
- Perform all other job related duties as requested by supervision.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE :
Educational and experience requirements include : High school business, bookkeeping and typing courses. Some clerical experience is desirable. Ability to type 40-45 WPM required. Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software required.
