Experienced Plumbing Apprentice

Matt's Plumbing Solutions is looking for a dedicated Experienced Apprentice Plumber to assist our Licensed Master Plumber while improving their own skills. The responsibilities include performing plumbing service calls for both residential and commercial clients, diagnosing customer problems, providing solutions, presenting estimates and proposals, closing the sale and performing the work.

The Apprentice Plumber can expect to assist in complex jobs and handle smaller jobs on their own.

A successful apprentice plumber will be well-organized and detail-oriented. You should have great customer service skills, be able and willing to follow instructions, and be prepared to travel to clients' homes to complete your work.

Job Roles & Responsibilities:

• Installs and repairs plumbing fixtures such as water heaters, faucets, toilets, tubs, garbage disposals.
• Locating and identifying leaks.
• Repairing or replacing pipes and parts.
• Drain cleaning and operation of jetting equipment.
• Water and Sewer repairs and lining.
• Determining the right tools and equipment necessary to successfully complete a job.
• Educating and answering client questions.
• Helping the Plumbers to ensure that all work is in accordance with federal, state, and local plumbing codes.
• Following the Plumbers' orders and instructions.
• Cleaning the job site after the work is completed.
• Assist in shop.
• The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time.

Requirements:

• Must be licensed by the state of Minnesota.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record.
• Able to lift 60 lbs.
• Capable of working overtime when the situation arises.
• Be punctual and dependable.
• Be honest and courteous.
• Be willing to work with others as a team member.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
