Business Office Coordinator
Bear Mountain Healthcare is currently seeking a full-time candidate as our Business Office Coordinator. This would be a split position between West Roxbury Health & Rehabilitation Center located in West Roxbury, Ma and Mattapan Health & Rehabilitation Center located in Mattapan, Ma.
Requirements :
This position requires either a high school degree or a BA in Accounting or Business with a minimum of 2 years of experience working in the business office of a healthcare facility. Knowledge of the Point Click Care system and RFMS is preferred. The right candidate will have good communication skills, ability to organize and prioritize responsibilities to meet deadlines and the ability to be detailed oriented. The Individual will meet with the Administrator on past due private and Medicaid pending accounts weekly as well as prepare and attend monthly A / R meetings.
Position Highlights :
- Center leadership position with a reporting relationship directly to the Nursing Home Administrator
- Develop positive relationships with patient / resident's family and the community
- Prepares daily census
- Responsible for Admission Packet completion upon all new resident admissions
- Reviews Payor Source Verification forms and ensures that the information entered in the patient’s setup in PCC is accurate
- Handles cash deposits
- Posts all cash and maintains the resident trust account including quarterly reports
- Updates PCC with any changes in patient liability
- Perform routine collection calls to responsible parties to follow up on any outstanding balances
- Maintains documentation on all collection activity
- Manages the month end process which includes the completion of data entry, census reconciliation to include balancing cash collections
