In this strategic leadership role, you will be responsible for building awareness, developing and executing account-based marketing (ABM) strategies, and driving demand generation across Federal agencies and system integrators throughout the United States. As a key member of the marketing team, you will contribute to the overall federal go-to-market strategy, leading cross-functional efforts to build impactful marketing campaigns, develop compelling content, and orchestrate field events to accelerate Mattermost’s success in the public sector.The ideal candidate will be an experienced marketer with a proven track record of driving pipeline growth in the public sector, particularly in cybersecurity, and will possess the ability to navigate complex federal ecosystems to create high-impact marketing initiatives. You will collaborate closely with the Public Sector Sales team, partner marketing, product marketing, and other key stakeholders to meet and exceed pipeline and revenue goals for the segment.This role requires a self-starter with a strong strategic mindset, capable of building new programs from the ground up, driving measurable outcomes, and fostering strong cross-functional partnerships in a highly matrixed environment. Key Responsibilities :
Strategic Leadership
- Collaborate with sales, channel / partner marketing, product marketing, creative teams, and marketing operations to develop and execute strategic marketing plans.
- Lead the creation and execution of capture strategies aimed at securing government contracts, grants, and research programs with various federal agencies aligned with Mattermost’s mission.
- Provide leadership and strategic oversight for federal marketing initiatives, building credibility and trust with key partners, including the Defense Industrial Base (DIB), system integrators, and other stakeholders critical to Mattermost’s success.
- Drive the development of scalable processes, assets, and frameworks to improve the company’s strategic pursuit capabilities within the federal market.
