We are currently supporting a leading global component manufacturer in Ridgeville, SC, seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join their expanding team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with industrial equipment maintenance and a basic understanding of PLCs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic issues in production equipment.
- Interpret technical drawings (electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic) for equipment repair.
- Operate and maintain production equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs on machines and infrastructure.
- Weld and follow safe welding practices.
- Ensure the work area is clean and free of safety hazards.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, hoists, and cranes for equipment maintenance.
- Evaluate production equipment using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools.
- Identify and order necessary machine components.
- Adhere to safety policies and report unsafe conditions.
- May operate a forklift and assist with plant start-up/shutdown procedures and weekend/holiday checks.
- May assist with leading a team of maintenance mechanics.
Qualifications:
- Experience as a Maintenance Technician in an industrial setting.
- Basic understanding of PLCs and production equipment.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills.
- Welding experience and ability to follow safety guidelines.
- Forklift operation experience is a plus (training may be provided).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a positive attitude.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour
