Matthews Athletic Recreation Association (MARA), a 501(c3) non-profit located in Matthews, North Carolina, is searching for a Park Manager to oversee the operation, maintenance, and development of a park facility that includes baseball and football fields. You will be responsible for ensuring the park's overall functionality, safety, and attractiveness and fostering a positive experience for members and visitors. This is a full-time position that reports directly to the Executive Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facility Management:
- Supervise the maintenance and upkeep of baseball and football fields, ensuring they are adequately prepared and maintained for use.
- Monitor field conditions, irrigation systems, and turf health, taking necessary actions for repairs and improvements.
- Safety and Compliance
- Enforce park rules and regulations to ensure the safety of visitors and compliance with local ordinances.
- Regularly inspect facilities and equipment to identify potential hazards and address safety concerns.
- Collaborate with relevant authorities to obtain necessary permits and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in park management, facility operations, or sports facility management.
- Strong knowledge of baseball and football field maintenance practices, including turf management, irrigation systems, and field lining.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively manage staff and resources.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and environmental compliance standards.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
