What are the responsibilities and job description for the Automotive Appointment Coordinator position at Matthews Auto Group?
Essential Job Duties:
The essential job duties referenced above are important for the job to be accomplished. Other job duties may be required.
- Schedule service appointments for customers
- Answer incoming phone calls to the service department
- Communicate with customers regarding their vehicle’s service needs
- Ask the customer qualifying questions to uncover needs and directs calls appropriately
- Ensure that service advisors receive messages promptly
- Make service appointments if service advisors are unavailable, route appointment information to the appropriate service advisor
- Provide reporting to dealership management
- Collect retail charges from the customer in cash, check or authorized charge account
- Properly process and document charge purchases according to the policies established
- Maintain accurate and detailed notes on all customer interactions
- Participate and keep up to date with on-the-job training and continuing education required by Manufacturers, Vendors and other outside sources as requested by Management.

Desired Qualifications:
· High school diploma/GED required
· Excellent communication and organizational skills
· Willingness to participate in in-house and outside training

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
