Solidworks/Engineering Technician

This is a DIRECT HIRE with benefits. Pay will be based upon experience.
In this role you will support customer requirements by using SolidWorks and other software to create part and assembly drawings, bills of materials and interacts with Sales, Manufacturing and Customers as needed.
To set you up for success in this role, Matthews requires the following qualifications at a minimal:
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Proficiency in SolidWorks
* One plus years of sheet metal design experience
* Understanding of manufacturing processes and techniques for sheet metal fabrication
* Familiarity with Lasers, Turrets, Press Brakes, and Welding
* Sharp attention to detail and adept problem-solving abilities
Essential Responsibilities:
* Converts engineering concepts into solid models using Solidworks
* Creates part and assembly drawings and documentation on existing and new products
* Ensures all design models, drawings and bills of materials are completed per requirements
* Monitors progress of First Articles
* Contributes to product planning in areas of expertise
* Supports Sales, Manufacturing and Customers as needed
* Communicate with and support management in a timely manner
* Ensures quality policies and procedures are followed
* Performs all other duties as assigned
