POSITION SUMMARY
Provides an opportunity to learn how to design controls solutions and the basics of ACAD Electrical for material handling equipment. Learn equipment requirements, business and customer requirements that drive the design of the electrical schematics. Participates in electrical hardware design and generating schematics. Learns duties and responsibilities while working with a mentor.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
ACAD Electrical
Learn to interface with internal and external customers
Learn to interface with electrical engineering, PLC engineering and project management to determine system requirements
Understanding of electrical principles
Understanding of motor control
Understanding of devices requirement / placement
Possible 10-20% travel to job site
Various other tasks that may be assigned
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field
Must be local to OKI area, or have ties to the area. No relocation assistance provided for internships / co-ops
Proficient with PC desktop applications (MS Office)
Ability to work overtime as necessary
Must have current driver’s license
Language skills – ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
Mathematical skills – ability to calculate figures and amounts such as for the purpose of creating needs assessments
Reasoning ability – ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
PHYSICAL ASPECTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT
Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and fingers, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk, hear and see
Regularly / Occasionally lift and / or move up to 10 pounds. (Standard is 10lbs, modify as needed)
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Regularly / Occasionally exposed to wet and / or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold & heat, risk of electrical shock, and toxic or caustic chemicals
