POSITION SUMMARY
The Engineering Technician supports engineers by completing electro / mechanical assembly, prototype assembly, prototype validation testing and troubleshooting, test fixture construction, documentation, and other engineering related tasks. This position assists and supports mechanical, electrical, software, and test engineers in designing equipment, electronic hardware, software, and tests to meet product specifications.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for electro / mechanical assembly, prototype assembly.
Testing and troubleshooting electronics products.
Assists Engineers with design and integration of products, tools, testers, and components.
Engineering and Manufacturing documentation.
Additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
Associate of Science Degree in Electronics Engineering Technologies or an equivalent combination of experience and training.
3 years of previous electronics engineering technical experience minimum; 5 years preferred.
Highly proficient in use of electronic test equipment – Oscilloscope, DMM, function generator, bench power supplies.
Proficient in soldering, rework, and printed circuit assembly; IPC training preferred.
Ability to work as part of an Agile / Scrum product development team, as an individual contributor.
Occasional travel within U.S. may be required.
Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, interpretation, and reasoning skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Solid understanding and application of basic math and algebraic concepts.
Occasional overtime may be required.
High degree of proficiency in Windows and MS Office tools – Word, Excel, Visio, etc, or equivalents.
Experience with Altium EDA tools preferred.
Experience with Solidworks Viewer, eDrawings, or another 3D model viewing tool preferred.
Experience with 3D Printing and finishing processes – FDM, SLA preferred.
Experience with Linux operating systems; Python, Bash scripting preferred.
Experience working with Industrial Printers; Continuous Ink Jet, Thermal Ink Jet preferred.
PHYSICAL ASPECTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT
Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, talk, hear, and see.
Occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Fine motor skills and the ability to use small tools are required to do this job.
The noise level in the work environment may be moderate to high.
Working with or near VOCs may be required. Safety training and the use of PPE will be required.
