CNC Lathe Operator
A company in Buffalo Grove, IL is seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Setup Operator to join their team. The ideal candidate must have prior experience setting up CNC lathe machines and will be responsible for setting up and operating these machines to produce high-quality parts in accordance with blueprint specifications.
Responsibilities of the CNC Lathe Operator
- Set up and operate CNC lathe machines, including single turret lathes with live tooling capabilities.
- Select and install appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and materials based on job requirements.
- Input and adjust CNC programs as necessary to meet product specifications.
- Measure and inspect finished products using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and bore gauges.
- Ensure all parts meet tight tolerances and maintain consistent quality throughout production runs.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning machines, changing tools, and replenishing cutting fluids.
- Troubleshoot and resolve minor mechanical or programming issues promptly to minimize downtime.
Requirements of the CNC Lathe Operator
- CNC lathe setup experience and setting up machines.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong understanding of machining processes, including turning, boring, threading, and facing.
1st shift, DIRECT HIRE
Pay is $25.00 - $35.00 an hour, based on experience
