Tool Maker
A manufacturing company in New Berlin, WI is seeking a skilled Tool Maker to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience in creating, modifying, and repairing precision tools and dies used in production processes. This role is essential to ensuring the efficient operation of manufacturing equipment and contributing to the high-quality production standards of our company.
Responsibilities of the Tool Maker
- Design, create, modify, and repair custom tools and dies based on engineering specifications.
- Use a variety of machinery, including lathes, mills, grinders, and CNC machines, to fabricate tools.
- Inspect tools and equipment to ensure they meet required specifications and tolerances.
- Perform routine maintenance on tools, dies, and machinery to extend their lifespan and ensure reliability.
- Work closely with engineers and other manufacturing personnel to identify tool requirements and improve production processes.
- Troubleshoot and repair any issues with tools and machinery to minimize downtime.
Requirements of the Tool Maker
- 5 years of experience in a tool-making role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of machine shop equipment and tool-making techniques.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience with CNC machinery and programming is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
1st shift, DIRECT HIRE
Pay is $38.00 - $40.00 an hour, based on experience
