A manufacturing company in Waukegan, IL is looking for a proactive and reliable Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining and repairing our facilities, ensuring everything operates smoothly and efficiently.
Requirements of the Facilities Maintenance Specialist
- Expertise in maintaining and repairing HVAC systems.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools like VOM meters and other testing equipment.
- Experience in field service roles, particularly in equipment maintenance.
- Strong problem-solving abilities to evaluate system performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Knowledge of safe operation of scissor lifts.
- Familiarity with lockout/tagout safety procedures.
Responsibilities of the Facilities Maintenance Specialist
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure they are working efficiently.
- Use diagnostic tools like VOM meters and HVAC gauges to identify and resolve issues.
- Perform repairs and maintenance on various equipment and machinery throughout the facility.
- Assess system performance and address any issues that may arise.
- Safely operate scissor lifts for maintenance work at elevated heights.
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance activities and repairs completed.
- Manage and organize a ticketing system for maintenance and repair requests.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time.

Pay is $30.00 - $36.00 an hour, based on experience
