Maintenance Planner/Supervisor
A growing manufacturing company in Wheeling, IL is seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner/Supervisor to lead and coordinate all maintenance activities across the facility. This position is responsible for scheduling preventive and corrective maintenance, overseeing the daily work of the maintenance team, and ensuring efficient use of internal and external resources.
Responsibilities of the Maintenance Planner/Supervisor
- Plan and schedule all maintenance activities, including preventive and corrective tasks, to minimize downtime and maintain production flow
- Supervise the daily operations of the maintenance crew and collaborate closely with the Maintenance Manager to achieve departmental goals
- Generate and manage work orders based on service requests and findings from routine maintenance inspections
- Operate and update the facility’s CMMS to track work orders, equipment history, and scheduling
- Prioritize maintenance jobs based on asset criticality and availability of parts, tools, and labor
- Coordinate with external vendors and OEMs to ensure required materials and parts are available for planned work
Requirements of the Maintenance Planner/Supervisor
- Prior experience in maintenance planning and/or supervisory roles within a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with CMMS software and maintenance best practices
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Excellent communication and coordination skills, both internally and with outside vendors
1st shift, DIRECT HIRE
Pay is $35.00 - $40.00 an hour, willing to pay more based on experience
