What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Writer position at Matts Staffing?
We are seeking a professional writer to create Security Policies for a large warehouse in Rialto CA. A new account, we started writing Post Orders which are all the security rules and regulations contained in a manuscript. Howwever, there is much more information needed. We are a full-service security guard company and our client for whom these Post Orders are written is a large medical distribution company. These Post Orders will be followed by a team of security guards who work at this Rialto location. We are asking for the chosen Writer to work on-site between 32 and 40 hours a week (8 hours each day) until the assignment is completed. Writer can choose convenient hours to be on-site. Although the Writer does not need to possess a security background it certainly helps if they do. We will start with an outline of what must be written, developing each policy one at a time, fleshing it out, then writing it. Certain Policies and Procedures are quite visual so it may prove helpful if this writer has access to a camera so we can reference and show visuals of what we're describing. Better yet, would be a software the Writer has access to which can include storyboarding and/or videotaping. The goal is for our security guards to have a full understanding of the most important security rules and regulations which shall include but not be limited to emergency procedures, access control, parking, patrolling, report writing etc. The writer will most likely be working with our President of Operations and on-site Lead Officer to ensure all pertinent policy information is covered. Once developed, we will create tests for security guards to take to ensure they understand these new and improved Post Orders.
