SUMMARY
Want to join our Recreation Team? We are looking for a Pool Attendant with a great personality who will be responsible for ensuring a clean, safe and fun environment for guests at the pool area while providing outstanding customer service to hotel guests. You will also assist guests with towels, chair covers, shade, cabana rentals and daily amenity offerings, and you must be able to cover both AM & PM shifts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greet guests warmly, provide towels, and assist with seating arrangements.
- Confirm Registration and issue recreational equipment.
- Performs frequent inspections of pool decks and related outdoor public spaces for cleanliness.
- Monitor pool and surrounding areas to ensure guest safety and adherence to hotel policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized pool area by regularly straightening chairs, replacing towels, and removing trash or debris.
- Ensure that pool furniture, umbrellas, and amenities are properly set up and maintained.
- Maintains knowledge of hotel amenities and services offered.
- Monitor and replenish poolside amenities, such as towels, sunscreen, and water stations.
- Report any safety concerns, maintenance issues, or guest incidents to management promptly.
- Enforce pool rules and policies courteously, addressing guest inquiries or concerns in a professional manner.
- Assist with opening and closing procedures of the pool area, including securing all pool equipment and supplies.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is a plus.
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain certification (preferred).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-traffic environments.
- Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand/walk for prolonged periods.
- Must be available to work AM shift, PM shift, weekends, and Holidays.
- Knowledge of Opera Cloud and HotSos helpful.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.30 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
