What are the responsibilities and job description for the Buyer position at Maui Divers Jewelry?
JOB SUMMARY:

The primary responsibility will be to with daily activity required to support our retail locations and corporate office needs. And provide customer service while working with different departments and stores with their supply requests.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Make procurement decisions based on the analysis of raw materials data.
Respond to special order and routine replacement requests from manufacturing and other personnel.
Maintain records of all purchases.
Respond to queries from users regarding historical purchase information.
Maintain the files on vendors and MRO items.
Responsible for oyster storage, issuing, receiving and inventorying.
Train as backup for other functions within the department, and perform other tasks as assigned.
Special projects will be assigned as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS / BASIC JOB SKILLS REQUIRED:
The ideal candidate will be conscientious, accurate, reliable, organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and analytical, and will demonstrate an ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines, while prioritizing multiple tasks.
Ability to perform the following duties: bending, loading, moving boxes, unpacking boxes, oyster order processing, loading supplies, and supply pick up from vendors.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Computer proficiency Word, Excel email
Type and 10-key by touch
Lifting up to 60 lbs
Ability to manage several projects at the same time.
Self-motivated and a problem solver and thinks outside the box.
