Location: Maui Kaanapali Villas– Kāʻanapali, Maui, Hawaiʻi

Starting Pay: $24.00/hour – Based on experience

Maui Kaanapali Villas is seeking a vigilant and service-minded Security Guard to join our ʻohana. As a key member of our team, you will ensure the safety and well-being of our guests, owners, and employees while protecting the tranquility and integrity of our 11-acre beachfront property.

Key Responsibilities

Patrol & Surveillance

• Monitor and patrol the grounds and buildings to ensure safety and detect potential hazards

• Observe and report suspicious activity, policy violations, or safety concerns

• Monitor CCTV surveillance and ensure system functionality

Incident Response

• Respond promptly to emergencies including medical calls, fires, and natural disasters

• Provide clear communication and support to emergency services as needed

• Maintain composure and take decisive action under pressure

Policy Enforcement

• Enforce property rules regarding noise, parking, pool access, and guest conduct

• Address violations calmly and professionally, escalating when appropriate

• Ensure vendor and contractor access follows protocol

Guest Interaction

• Offer directions and general assistance to guests

• Represent the property with aloha spirit and professionalism

• Provide crowd control during events or peak times

Reporting & Administration

• Complete detailed daily reports and incident logs

• Deliver notices and assist with documentation related to security activities

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Must be at least 18 years old

• Valid Hawaiʻi Guard Card (Required)

• Previous security or law enforcement experience preferred

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Calm and composed under stress; ability to work independently

• Valid Hawaiʻi driver’s license with a clean driving abstract

• Availability for night, weekend, and holiday shifts

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

• Lift up to 50 lbs

• Climb stairs and ladders as needed

• Adequate vision, hearing, and speech for effective communication

• Work in various weather conditions, including heat and humidity

• Physically fit to respond quickly in emergencies
