Retail Warehouse Supervisor

Our Retail Warehouse Supervisor supervises the Shipping & Receiving Department and oversees the coordination and organization of incoming as well as outgoing shipments, as well as receiving products into the Retail inventory and maintaining and managing the Retail inventory. The Warehouse Supervisor also works along-side our Retail Shipping & Receiving Clerk, Stockroom Organizer, and Retail Buyers to receive and prepare products to get onto the sales floor. The Warehouse Supervisor is also responsible for coordinating and running the annual Retail inventory and for maintaining a healthy Retail inventory on a daily basis. Our ideal Retail Warehouse Supervisor candidate is someone who is flexible and who can also work the occasional weekend, holiday, or night shift. Maui Ocean Treasures Gift Shop is the official gift shop of Maui Ocean Center. We are the most unique gift shop on Maui and we offer items that include apparel, books, marine-themed gifts, Hawaiʻi made culinary items, bath & body products, jewelry, keiki toys, and so much more! We strive to provide exceptional customer service and to assist our guests with finding the perfect gift to commemorate their visit to Maui.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Must be comfortable working on a computer

· Be able to multi-task

· Maintain upbeat, professional attitude

· Must be self-motivated

· Have a sense of ownership and pride in the aquarium and Maui Ocean Treasures

· Must be able to bend, stoop, and lift 50lbs or more and be able to stand for long periods of time in order to assist customers on the sales floor, as well as helping with restocking the sales floor and helping with various projects

· Be able to communicate clearly with others both verbally and in written form in the English language

· Must be organized and maintain a clean and well-stocked station on a daily basis

· Conduct positive and professional interactions with customers, fellow employees, and vendors/business partners

· Maintain a healthy inventory integrity

· All staff must help with annual physical inventory

· Actively contribute to meeting daily sales goals

· If needed, help to make and drive sales on the sales floor

· Help with various projects, such as cleaning, restocking, setting-up merchandise displays on the sales floor, etc.

· Must be able to competently process Retail transactions on the POS register, if needed

· Some Retail experience required and warehouse experience is a plus

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

· Must be able to bend, stoop, and lift at least 50 lbs

· Self-Motivated & organized with attention to detail

· Great people skills, outgoing and pleasant. The ability to provide excellent customer service daily and conduct oneself in a professional manner

· Reliability & punctuality

· Comfortable working on a computer and various software programs and websites

· Can use a calculator to add/subtract/percentages etc…

· Able to stand for long periods of time (up to 8 – 9 hour shifts with breaks)

· Clear communication: this includes verbally and with reading/writing in the English language

· Previous experience working in Retail is required, and previous warehouse supervisor is a plus

· Some experience with working on a Point-Of-Sale (POS) system preferable, but not required

· Establish and maintain productive, professional relationships with other employees and vendors and effectively work as a team, as well as independently to perform all job requirements

· Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work the occasional weekend, holiday, or night shift

Pay: $45,700.00 per year
