Maui Oil Company is seeking a full-time IT Director to join our Information Technology team in our Central Maui office. If you are interested in working for local family-owned business and enjoy a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, this position is for you.
Position Summary:
The IT Director is responsible for leading the company’s IT day-to-day operations, managing network infrastructure, implementing cybersecurity measures, and supporting enterprise applications. This role involves developing and executing IT strategies, project management, and hands-on IT support to enhance business processes, improve efficiency, and maintain compliance with industry regulations. The IT Director will work closely with internal departments to ensure seamless technology operations and support business growth.
This position requires the ability to lead and mentor a team of IT support technicians across multiple regions, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and consistent service delivery to all company locations.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Education, & Experience:
· Education/Experience
o Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. Master’s Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science is a plus.
o Minimum 5 years of IT management experience, preferably in a petroleum, logistics, or distribution industry.
o Strong knowledge of network administration, cloud computing, cybersecurity, and enterprise applications.
o Experience managing IT projects and leading technical teams.
o Proven ability to manage and mentor a distributed IT support team across multiple locations.
o Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
o Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and support multiple locations.
o High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
o Experience with ERP systems, fuel management software, or logistics applications is a plus.
o Hand-on experience working with Windows Server Administration, including Active Directory, Domain Controllers, etc.
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft 365 administration, including Teams, SharePoint, and Exchange.
o Previous experience with website administration.
· General Skills
o Strong interpersonal skills – must be able and willing to communicate regularly and clearly.
o Highly organized – must maintain IT infrastructure records and manage multiple concurrent projects (infrastructure and capital) at the same time while maintaining the uptime of all systems.
o Must be able to (when necessary) drive company and/or personal vehicle while on company time.
