Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Dental Assistant to join our awesome team. Competitive pay based on experience. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing high-quality dental care to children, ensuring their comfort and safety during procedures. You will assist the dentist in various tasks, manage patient records, and contribute to a positive dental experience for our young patients.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
  • Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Educate patients and their guardians on proper dental hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties as needed, including answering phone calls and greeting patients.
  • Ensure the dental clinic environment is clean, organized, and welcoming for all patients.
  • Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology to effectively communicate with the dental team.

Skills

  • Proficiency in four-handed dentistry techniques.
  • Familiarity with medical records management systems and dental clinic operations.
  • Strong understanding of dental terminology and anatomy knowledge.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and the dental team.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in a pediatric dental setting is a plus.
