Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols.
- Maintain accurate medical records and patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate patients and their guardians on proper dental hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Manage appointment scheduling and assist with front desk duties as needed, including answering phone calls and greeting patients.
- Ensure the dental clinic environment is clean, organized, and welcoming for all patients.
- Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology to effectively communicate with the dental team.
Skills
- Proficiency in four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Familiarity with medical records management systems and dental clinic operations.
- Strong understanding of dental terminology and anatomy knowledge.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and the dental team.

- Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in a pediatric dental setting is a plus.
