POSITION AVAILABLE:School Counselor at Maumee High School (9-12)
JOB STATUS:Full-Time
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid driver’s license.
Appropriate State of Ohio teaching certificate/license. (State of Ohio License-Pupil Services, School Counselor).
A minimum of one year experience in school counseling is preferred.
Experience with career tech and workforce development is desirable.
Demonstrates a sincere desire to aid all students.
Good health, high moral character, and good attendance record.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide academic, college, and career advising to support student goal-setting, graduation planning, and readiness for post-secondary pathways through individual, group, and classroom services.
Deliver social, emotional, and mental health support by offering counseling, crisis response, and developmental programming that promote student well-being and personal growth.
Collaborate with staff, families, and community partners to support student achievement, coordinate career exploration opportunities, and implement school-wide initiatives.
Evaluate program impact and pursue professional growth by using data to inform practice, promote equity, and engage in ongoing learning aligned with ethical and legal standards.
COMPENSATION:
Salary and fringe benefits are based on the collective bargaining agreement.
