The base salary range for this position is $24.50 - $25.50 hourly.

Our Sales Coordinator is the gatekeeper for all sales and marketing systems and reporting needs. This role provides administrative support to the sales team and handles the reporting and ongoing sales system updates. The ideal candidate is well-organized, analytical, a critical thinker, and self-motivated. The successful candidate must be able to coordinate the daily needs of the remote and on-site sales team. He or she will be comfortable with guest-facing interactions, have strong written communication ability with clients, conduct face-to-face meetings with various departments on behalf of the remote sales team, and be proficient with technology. The ideal candidate will have the ability and desire to develop expert-level proficiency in hospitality industry-specific systems

• Support Mauna Lani’s revenue goals by generating group business.
• Organize and schedule direct sales efforts via phone , email and in person... Average of 5 prospecting/business development efforts per day are expected. ( 25 per week )
• Evaluate and initiate opportunities for developing new sources of business.
• Build effective relationships with group and transient accounts that support the hotel’s strategy.
• Support and participate in daily calls with Director of Sales as needed.
• Accurately maintain and build Delphi / Salesforce database of clients.
• Abide by the policies and procedures of Mauna Lani and Auberge Resorts.
• Maintain ethical and professional standards of sales service.
• Maintain professional appearance and demeanor and to conduct personal behavior in a mature and professional business manner while representing the company.
• Travel and work flexible days and hours.
• Be located on property at Mauna Lani.
• Phone calls, emails and requests are to be returned the same day and RFP’s have a 24 hour response time.
• Maintain customer, trade, industry and employee relations.
• Target key accounts to host familiarization trips to increase ROI.
• Work with tourism organization to maximize opportunities for Mauna Lani.
• Perform other duties as directed, developed or assigned.

Required

• Four year college degree or equivalent education/experience.
• Minimum 5 years of sales experience in a related position in a luxury hotel sales environment.
• Demonstrated record of driving sales revenues in a luxury hotel environment.

Desirable

• Prior experience working in a sales office setting.
• Prior experience working with professional organizations that support leisure/transient hotel sales.
