responsibility and instructional leadership for the planning, management, operation, and evaluation of the
educational program; thorough knowledge of rigorous curriculum standards, instructional leadership.

- Submits recommendations to the Superintendent regarding the appointment, assignment, promotion,
transfer, and dismissal of all personnel with skill to recruit and retain effective teachers and staff - Implements and assumes the lead role in the responsibility of development, implementation and constant
review of all school and system improvement plans and the Maury County Public Schools strategic plan. - Keeps the Assistant Superintendent and his/her assistants continually informed regarding the conditions of
the school and its activities; - Effectively evaluates teachers and other personnel as outlined in state law and board policies;
- Understands, implements and enforces education laws, rules, and regulations;
- Assumes responsibility for the implementation of curriculum guides for each grade level;
- Oversees the health and safety of students;
- Assumes responsibility for having teachers' meetings, parent-teacher conferences, school activities, and
school exhibits; - Ensures the proper care and accounting of all equipment, textbooks, and supplies assigned to the school;
- Assumes responsibility for student teachers and gives approval prior to a student teacher assuming duties;
- Administers the code of discipline and behavior within the school in accordance with board policy;
- Permits students to leave the grounds during school hours in accordance with law and board policy;
- Displays the United States flag and the Tennessee State flag during each school day;
- Administers the athletic program in accordance with the Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association,
if appropriate; - Requisitions supplies and equipment and all other materials necessary to operate the school;
- Assumes responsibility for maintaining good public relations with staff, parents, and the community and
using community resources to enrich the learning program; - Observes all other rules and regulations relative to the operation of the schools as established by law and
as contained in the Rules, Regulations, and Minimum Standards of the State Board of Education, State
Department of Education, TN Internal School Uniform Accounting Policy Manual and the Maury County
Public Schools Policy Manual; - Creates a culture of professional learning communities through collaboration to produce continuous school
improvement and student achievement. - Possesses confidence in using technology as an administrative, student management, instructional, and
communication tool - Other duties as assigned
Salary : $87,265 - $128,140
