Title: HR Business Partner

Location: Maury Regional Medical Center - Columbia, TN

Position Shift: 8a-4:30p Monday-Friday


Position Summary:

The Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) is the trusted advisor and HR resource for assigned leaders. The HRBP provides operational HR support and guidance through collaboration with leaders and the greater HR team. The HRBP will coordinate the provision of more in-depth services necessary to meet departmental needs to support the ongoing success of the department, unit, or clinic. In collaboration with members of leadership, drives strategic initiatives such as, developing community and academic partnerships, supporting career pathways and leadership development that support organizational effectiveness.


Key Job Responsibilities:

· Regularly discusses department operational and people objectives, barriers, goals, etc. and works to support their client in meeting their objectives.

· Supports and reinforces communication regarding organizational initiatives, HR initiatives and HR policy revisions or updates.

· Strives to develop community and academic partnerships and processes that support the attainment of the organization's strategic goals.

· Reviews HR metrics monthly and coordinates special projects to target areas of need. Partners with committees such as People Council and assigned area committees to support strategic initiatives.

· Reviews exit interviews and surveys to identify trends in team member experiences and engagement and makes recommendations to support department Leaders in achieving high impact teams.

· Works closely with Leaders and the Employee Relations Specialist to guide them in conducting Employee Accountability actions.

· Provides guidance on training opportunities and Leadership development to support the department, unit, or practice. May provide training on HR policy and procedure, new programs, and leadership curriculum.

· Works in collaboration with Compensation Analyst to provide Leaders with support in ensuring competitive salaries.

· Serves as an ally in making sure positions are getting filled promptly and oversees recruitment strategies.

· Manage scheduled monthly meetings with assigned department Leaders. Provides guidance on processes in HRIS systems such as requesting personnel, performance appraisals, etc. Trains on HR policy and procedure, new programs, and leadership curriculum.


What You’ll Bring:

  • A true passion for HR: Experience building HR systems and processes from scratch and keeping an eye out for the latest HR trends and changes to best practices!
  • Problem Solving: Ability to work through a problem with limited information and to take a problem or situation to the next level. Strong business acumen.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail and ability to make deliverables (documents, PowerPoints, reports, etc) client-ready.
  • Creativity: We’re looking for outside-the-box thinkers! Our HRBPs have the flexibility and creativity to handle any situations that arise while implementing solutions for the client.
  • Self-motivation and self-discipline: This is a highly autonomous role where HRBPs work independently supporting clients and must be self-motivated to complete work promptly with minimal oversight. We aren’t just strategic partners – we do the work and give our clients full white glove service.


  • Credentials / Education:
  • Bachelor's Preferred
  • 2 Years Related Experience Preferred
  • Professional HR designation is an asset
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word Required

Salary : $59,800 - $75,700
