JOB TITLE: Pre-Service Analyst
DEPT: Financial Clearance
LOCATION: Maury Regional Medical Center - Columbia, TN
SHIFT: PRN, as needed. Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm

JOB SUMMARY:
The insurance verification specialist analyzes patient insurance(s) by using various electronic tools to ensure the patient's insurance coverage is active and filed accurately, and will required to run an estimate on each patient. Assist patients with understanding their benefits and estimate, and verify the patient's data in the EMR while creating a positive impression. Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, effective oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and take appropriate action. An understanding of medical terminology, CPT, and ICD-10 codes is required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
* High School Diploma Required
* 2 Years of Related Healthcare Experience Required
