Job Description
The ideal candidate will follow all work instructions and safety policies without exception, ensuring the use of all personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety equipment.
Routine preventive maintenance checks on production equipment and machinery are a must. The technician should be able to repair basic mechanical components, replace parts on machines such as bearings, filters, wiring, valves, gauges, and switches.
Observation and listening skills are essential in identifying the causes of problems with mechanical devices in operation. Dismantling devices to access and remove defective parts is also necessary for maintaining housekeeping and preventive maintenance standards within the plant.
Lubricating and cleaning machinery and support equipment ensure quality production and maintain a safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Familiarity with routine preventive maintenance checks on production equipment and machinery;
- Ability to repair basic mechanical components and replace parts;
- Ongoing observation of mechanical devices to identify potential issues;
- Dismantling devices to access and remove defective parts;
- Maintaining housekeeping and preventive maintenance standards;

Requirements
- 3-5 years' experience in a maintenance-related position within a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of training and experience;
- Ability to interpret documents such as procedure manuals, blueprints, schematics, charts, diagrams, etc.;
- BASIC understanding of systems, equipment, and schematics;
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
