What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Mechanic - 1st Shift position at Mauser Packaging Solutions?
Responsibilities :
- Adhere without exception to all safety policies and procedures, including use of all PPE and safety equipment.
- Able to use all equipment & machinery, understand and read all schematics drawings related to the trade requirements.
- Troubleshooting of equipment failures to determine root cause and initiate appropriate remedial action.
- Repair basic mechanical components and replace parts on machines such as bearings, filters, wiring, valves, gauges, and switches without supervision.
- Ensure machinery and equipment functions properly on completion of repairs, modification, and installations.
- Accomplish all work orders to maintain safety; reduce downtime; decrease scrap; improve quality production; and improve plant efficiency.
- Committed to continuous (daily and weekly) improvement of machinery, equipment, and processes, via preventative and predictive maintenance on production supporting equipment.
- Follows all safety rules and procedures including Lockout / Tagout program, housekeeping, and 5S standards and observes the operations to ensure a safe work environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills; ability to work collaboratively and effectively with co-workers and other departments. A person with a positive “can do attitude.”
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
