Packaging Operations Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Packaging Operations Manager to lead our maintenance team in achieving maintenance goals and enhancing employee work performance and productivity through coaching and feedback. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, as well as experience with high-speed equipment and automation systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct the troubleshooting of equipment failures to determine root cause and initiate appropriate remedial action.
• Oversee quality maintenance and repair of equipment to improve availability and reliability for production.
• Ensure preventative maintenance compliance and that repair history is properly documented.
• Assist in sourcing and requisitioning maintenance supplies, equipment, and services within budgeted guidelines.
• Use Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as PM compliance, schedule compliance, and break-in work as tools to improve maintenance execution.

Requirements

• Three to five years of work experience in a manufacturing plant as a Maintenance Mechanic.
• Knowledge and experience working with high-speed equipment and electric-pneumatic controls.
• Able to order parts and maintain inventory of all maintenance-related material.
• Ability to use a lathe, and milling machine considered an asset.
• Advanced working knowledge on mechanical/electrical systems and components; including, but not limited to, Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Pumps, Gear Boxes, Power Transmission, Material Handling, Sensor, Transmitters, DC and AC circuits, Transformers, Power and Energy, Arc Flash.
