About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic who can perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot electrical issues, and ensure that all equipment meets safety and quality standards. The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning and lubricating machinery components, installing and maintaining pipe systems, and repairing and replacing gauges, valves, and pressure regulators.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and lubricate machinery components to ensure smooth operation.
- Install and maintain pipe systems, including hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
- Repair and replace gauges, valves, and pressure regulators as needed.
- Perform building maintenance, including plumbing, welding, and general upkeep.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and assess equipment to identify areas for improvement.
- Log labor and parts using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Work overtime, including weekends and off-shifts, as required.
- Participate in an on-call program and respond to after-hours issues.
- Maintain high-quality and safe working conditions by adhering to company policies and procedures.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent, with a technical degree in maintenance preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a metal manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (ISO 9001) for metals manufacturing.
- PLC experience and ability to use various tools, preferably.
